TYF Adventure pioneered coasteering in Wales over 20 years ago, when their first groups experienced the wonder of adventures in the most powerful playground on the planet. Since then, we’ve taken getting on for a hundred thousand people coasteering in conditions ranging from balmy summer ‘Blue Line’ coastal explorations, through to heart-racing ‘Flat Line’ endurance sessions across the southern bays.

To keep our customers safe and happy, we reckon that we’ve trained more guides to coasteer than the rest of the world put together; working on a sometimes wild Welsh coast at the edge of a national park has given us a unique perspective to adventure that combines looking after people and nature. We call this ‘Sea Change’ – bringing sustainability, enterprise and action for good into everything we do.

As others looked to the west and copied the sport that we started (we’re honoured), some folk started talking about the need for formal qualifications, committees, rule books and so on. We’ve worked with other centres since day one and welcome all initiatives that continue to keep coasteering as a safe, exciting and wild sport. There are various main routes to training with TYF Adventure that are designed for anyone wanting to improve their skills and knowledge of coasteering, leading groups in tough conditions, and playing in wild places:
